Boats, Go Karts, Motorcycles, RV’s…..oh my!

June 18, 2018 by Barbara Rotar

Well…….it seems that the summer season is approaching very quickly.  It is the season of  lettering boats, go karts, RV’s and all the toys we love to enjoy throughout our summer season! On the water, on the track, in the air, on the trails…the nice weather brings us outside to enjoy some Vitamin D. Always fun to do graphics or numbers or lettering on equipment and things made for having fun! Wraps, lettering, graphics….all to make your “toy” your own!

Wrapped Vehicles….how do you clean them???

March 13, 2018 by Barbara Rotar

You drive away with your great looking vinyl wrapped vehicle and a week later wonder about how to get it clean without harming the wrap….

Hand wash applied vinyl graphics with a blend of mild detergent and clean water. PRESSURE WASHING IS NOT RECOMMENDED!! Pressure washing is used to remove vinyl graphics and can cause the vinyl wrap to lift around the edges and degrade the face film. Once that happens your graphics begin to fade. Even with products designed for washing vehicles it is a good practice to try it out on a small area and to read the warning label on the container. Let the vehicle air dry or use a microfiber cloth, using a clean microfiber towel and light pressure. If you have to do the drive thru car wash, USE TOUCHLESS CARWASHES!!

Some quick things to be careful of are…not applying carnauba based wax polish, matte or carbon fibre over vinyl graphics or the vinyl will deteriorate. Do not allow fuels or other corrosive substances to stay in contact with the vinyl. Clean all spills as soon as possible.

Your vehicle can stay looking great for an extended period of time with the proper care!

Spring is right around the Corner!!!

March 13, 2018 by Barbara Rotar

I know I know…right now it is snowing outside…but seriously Spring is right around the corner! And that means Spring Cleaning Time! It is that time of year when you take a look outside at how your image held up over the winter and see what needs to be freshened up either through service, repair or replacement and what has stayed looking good through our long winter. If you are a retail business now might be a good time to start thinking about Sales to lighten up the inventory and prepare for the summer business. Sometimes just adding a small but bright and bold Sale Now On sign can bring new customers as well as loyal customers into the store. We have a lot of customers who have found that it is a good time to look at replacing some of the regular lighting with new LED type lighting. Whatever your signage needs we are here to help….whether it be service, repair, replacement or coming with something new and bold to catch the attention of those passing by….. In any event think Spring and look forward to the new leaves appearing on the trees, and flowers pushing their way up through the sleepy earth! It is always a relief to say goodbye to Old Man Winter!!

Baby it’s dark outside….

November 11, 2016 by Barbara Rotar

So….the time has changed and the days are getting shorter! Time to take a look at your signage and make sure it is properly illuminating. When customers are trying to find you in the dark they depend on you to give them direction…..right to your door! So….check it out and let us know if you need any service! We are hoping of course for a mild winter but we are being told to brace ourselves! Being Canadian we are used to the cold winters….doesn’t mean we enjoy them always!!!

For seasonal businesses the winter is a good time to check out the signage and make any changes you may need for the upcoming season…I know I know…it is a long winter but it tends to catch up on us and before you know it you are saying “I should have done this earlier…”. Last minute rush orders are always a little more costly than proactive ones! It is always fun to look forward to warm days ahead.

For all you snowmobile lovers, who by the way are big fans of a cold winter with lots of snow…. if you need numbers for your sled give us a call!

Lastly and most importantly, please take a few moments to pay your respects and honour our men and women in uniform….the ones who died so we could have the right to free speech and the ones who have suffered wounds both physical and emotional for the same right, as well as those who serve today and in years gone by! We are so thankful and respectful of the work you have done and do today! THANK YOU!!

Hot Crazy Days of Summer

July 5, 2016 by Barbara Rotar

Well….remember back in February when you were wishing for the hot summer days that would bring warmth to your soul….well they are here with a vengence.  It is definitely hot!    It is the season of golf tournaments, boat lettering, vehicle wraps and equipment lettering along with Safety (PPE) signs and larger signs for the new venues going up for various corporations.  And of course there are those wonderful Country Fairs and events that bring people together in their community for a common enjoyment and fun.  Lots of building and fabricating going on as well!  All of these things need signage to direct and educate people with information in order for them to be informed and able to enjoy all that is being offered.  Enjoy your summer!

May 30, 2016 by Barbara Rotar

Advantages of Switching to LED

January 14, 2016 by Barbara Rotar

With the cost of hydro escalating in our wonderful province, it is time to consider money saving ideas.  One of the suggestions we would like to share with you is the switch to LED lighting from flourescent in your signage.

The advantages of switching to LED are numerous.  Some of the benefits are, using much less electricity, having to change bulbs less as they last much longer and they produce very little heat.  They do not emit UV or infrared, contain no mercury, are resistant to shock and vibration and can operate effectively in cold environments…..being Canadian we appreciate that!

They are more expensive in upfront cost but make up for it over the long run in less service required and easier to service when it is required and less costly to run.  LEDs are very green.  for starters, they use less electricity than other lighting products. And, of course, they contain no mercury.  Because of their long life they also reduce solid waste.    Just a few benefits!  They save you money over the long run and cause less waste!  Sounds like a good thing….doesn’t it?

Next time you are looking at a new sign or refurbishing an old one ask us about switching out the flourescent lamps for LED.!!  Something to think about!

Ten reasons

June 30, 2015 by Barbara Rotar

We found this on the internet and feel it makes some very good points….!

Top Ten Reasons for Investing in Signage

Why should your customer invest in signage instead of other media? Let’s take a look at the top ten fast answers to that question.

  1. Signs produce foot traffic for your customer’s business
  2. Signs work for your customer 24/7 without asking for a raise (particularly electrical signs like channel letters)
  3. Signage produces new customers for your customer’s business
  4. Signage decreases your customer’s sales time and expense by providing an ongoing supply of new business prospects
  5. Signage creates continuous brand impressions
  6. Signage selects qualified prospects by stating what product or service is sold
  7. Signage increases the number of impulse purchases
  8. Signage continually informs and reminds passerby traffic (both auto and pedestrian) of the existence of a business
  9. Signage creates a visual handshake with your customer’s other branded marketing programs (channel letter logo boxes excel for this purpose)

And the number one most important reason why your customer should invest in signage:

  1. Signage increases the revenues of a business

The other reasons all seem to tie in to #1. Signs pay for themselves through higher revenue, and typically more quickly than other media.

So when your customer says they’re going to spend their budget on a radio program rather than additional signage, remind them of the “top 10” signage reasons.

Safety Safety Safety

May 26, 2015 by Barbara Rotar

Well…..it is that time of year when the construction projects are starting up again.  It is always a good thing to remind your workers of their responsibility to wear the proper safety equipment for the job.  We have various types of safety signage to remind workers of the proper personal protection equipment needed to fulfil the requirements of their work.  The universal symbols for Hard Hats, Safety glasses, Workboots, etc are easily recognizable by workers and let them know what is required without a constant reminder by a supervisor.   It is an easy way to educate them as to what is required and train them to follow through.  As well we have the handheld stop/slow signs to direct and manage traffic on a road construction site.  Putting your corporate branding on your site office is an easy way for contractors and delivery people, etc. to be able to find it.

Email or call us with any requirements you have for construction or safety signage!

It’s a wrap

May 26, 2015 by Barbara Rotar

One of the most common questions we hear is how much for a vehicle wrap……it is so hard to answer that question without asking another dozen question of the customer!  Depending on how much of the vehicle is being wrapped and if it is actually wrap or graphics being put on the vehicle all impact the price of the work.  if you are thinking of wrapping your vehicle because it is a little rusty…..DON’T!!  The rust will be much much worse when you remove the wrap material.  It is not meant for covering rust.  Often when people are trying to figure out what they want on their vehicle it is not actually a wrap but rather graphics and lettering.  we have done many many different vehicles and pieces of equipment with corporate branding.  It is a perfect way to create a moving billboard for your business.  If you email us general information on what type of vehicle and what you are hoping to put on it, graphics, logos, etc. we would love to work with you to bring your vehicle to a representation of your business.  It then works for you 24/7 whether it is parked or on the move!
